SSC is providing CM services for multiple projects for the State of California DOT -Caltrans in District 4, Pleasanton, CA. SSC is the Office Engineer responsible for delivering projects including pavement, bridge, culvert, and retaining wall repairs along the 580 corridor. Repair projects to D4 HQ elevators and water leaks within the HQ Office.   Multiple projects for emergency generators, UPS, and fire life safety upgrades at Posey/Webster tubes in Alameda, CA and Caldecott tunnels in Oakland and Orinda.  As well as the complete construction of new D4 Material Laboratory building in Livermore. SSC’s primary responsibilities include the following tasks:

  • Contract administration: Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with the contract requirements, including specifications, drawings, and other project documents. 

  • Quality Control: Assist in ensuring that the project meets the specified quality standards, including material testing and inspection, as well as monitoring and documenting construction progress. 

  • Change Management: Oversee and assist changes to the project, including scope changes, schedule changes, and cost changes. Prepare CO’ and ensure that all changes are documented and approved in compliance with the contract requirements. 

  • Safety Management: Responsible for ensuring that construction activities are executed safely and in compliance with safety regulations. 

  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, clients, designers, and government agencies. 

  • Document Control: Responsible for maintaining and organizing project documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, correspondence, and reports. 

  • Dispute Resolution: Support resolution of disputes that may arise during the project, including claims, disputes, and disagreements with contractors or stakeholders. 

  • Reporting: Provide regular project status reports to clients, designers, and other stakeholders. 

  • Closeout: Assist in  project closeout activities, including final inspection, testing, and documentation, as well as final payment and contract closeout.
